Property company launches community space

Shimao Service, the property management arm of Shimao Group, launched a new community service brand on Friday.

Aimed at offering a community space that will serve as an extension of property owners' homes, the new Sunit service brand, integrating both online and offline offerings, will cover various aspects of residents' lives with an emphasis on parents and children, health and better living experiences.

”Under the company's plan, three different formats of Sunit stores — flagship, standard and mini — will gradually be rolled out at Shimao projects around the country based on different positioning of each community as well as different needs of the residents," Liu Zhigang, general manager of Sunit at Shimao Service, said at the brand's launch.

Mainly comprising a 435-square-meter library with 20,000 books, a 460-square-meter "X Space,” or "living room,” where residents are encouraged to get together, a designated area for children’s education, indoor and outdoor fitness facilities as well as a cafe and a cooking studio, Sunit's first flagship store in China made its debut on Friday at Shimao Riviera Garden in the Pudong New Area.

Shimao Service is a Top 20 property management company in China with contracted gross floor area under management exceeding 100 million square meters as of the end of 2019.
