New bookstore opens with literary events
Read & Social@The Bund opened at the Bund Finance Center on Friday. The new bookstore will host a series of themed events in its opening week.
Famous Shanghai writer Zhao Lihong will have a salon with book lovers to talk about his creations.
Children are encouraged to paint and make artworks based on Miffy, a cartoon character from the Netherlands.
Covering an area of about 1,000 square meters, the bookstore aims to promote a slow-paced lifestyle and better human exchanges.
Different from traditional bookstores, it will also cater to modern people’s social needs through regular lectures, salons and artistic programs.
Cultural creative products by celebrated designers and artists will also be exhibited.
