Shanghai Theater Academy opened its 2020 Arts Season on Monday. The event will run till Saturday with a showcase of achievements in theatrical creativity.
In the coming days, a total of 16 graduation performances and exhibitions by students in the departments of acting, directing, dance and traditional Chinese opera will be displayed on the academy’s WeChat account.
Original plays based on the real-life stories of China’s battle against the novel coronavirus will also be debuted.
Officials from the academy say that outstanding works from the arts season will be developed and polished for public showcase in the future.
