Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Thursday will attend a United Nations Security Council conference on safeguarding international peace and security and global governance in the post-COVID-19 era, a Foreign Ministry spokesperson said Wednesday.

Wang, as the special envoy of Chinese President Xi Jinping, will attend the meeting via video link, spokesperson Wang Wenbin told a daily news briefing.
