Tuina is a traditional Chinese medicine treatment which is different from massage which is more about fitness.

Tui means to push, while na means to lift and squeeze.

Tuina can be traced back thousands of years, like fire cupping and acupuncture.

During dong bing xia zhi, which translates to treating winter diseases in summer, Tuina is used on children, who have respiratory diseases, digestive problems or developmental problems such as slow growth.

TCM doctors usually combine Tuina with Futie, which refers to herbal medicine applied to the skin at acupoints, for better effects.
