Policeman rushes to save kitten in the middle of busy road

A video showing a traffic police officer in Putian, Fujian Province running into the middle of traffic to save a kitten touched the hearts of Chinese netizens.

The incident happened on September 8 when a white kitten slowly walked in front of a group of motorcycles waiting for the light to change.

The police officer, Tan Yuhe, noticed the little cutie and rushed to pick it up from the road, carrying it to safety.

Tan told a reporter that a driver alerted his attention to the animal, so he immediately rushed over to ensure its safety. He said it looked like the kitten was a stray.

Chinese netizens praised the policeman for his actions.
