Yangpu District
Yangpu District is in the northeast of Shanghai, on the northwest bank of lower Huangpu River. Yangshupugang, a distributary of Huangpu River runs from south to north through this district, from which the name “Yangpu” derived. In the west of the district are modern communities, such as New Jiangwan Town and Wujiaochang. The central area will become the cluster of SOHO zones and a campus community for universities nearby. Planning of the east area focuses on the development of key areas. The district is turning its riverbank into a development zone of tertiary industries featuring industrial design, cultures and creativity.
