Feisty old woman refuses advice of courteous cop

A traffic police officer in Jinan, Shandong Province bent over at an almost 90-degree angle to discourage an elderly woman from running a red light, although his efforts were all in vain.

The elderly woman tried to cross the road on a red light at the crossroads of Jingshi Road and Qianfoshan Road during the rush hour on September 19. The policeman on duty at the time soon rushed to stop her.

He bent over at a near-90-degree angle and patiently persuaded her to wait for the light to change. The woman refused, however, insisting on crossing against the light.

The policeman soon realized his efforts with the feisty woman were futile and instead escorted her across the road to safety, before returning to his post.
