Leaking water from an empty building in Anshan, Liaoning Province froze into a spectacular 10-meter ice waterfall during extremely cold weather recently.

Tap water allegedly began to leak in October from the unoccupied building which is awaiting demolition. The leaky problem was not entirely solved despite several repairs.

After entering a particularly cold winter, the water transformed into an ice waterfall.

Pictures of the strange sight began circulating on the Internet, with some netizens joking that the building should become one of China's new must-see tourist attractions.

Others saw the serious side, with one netizen commenting, "I'm really distressed — how much precious water has been wasted?!"

The water supply has since been switched off.
