Bus driver saves passengers from fire in 15 seconds

A bus driver in Yibin, Sichuan Province saved all his passengers from a fire within just 15 seconds, injuring himself in the process.

The bus suddenly caught fire so the driver, Liu Sichuan, immediately stopped the vehicle and opened the door, urging around 20 passengers on-board to escape.

The fire became more fierce and expanded into the carriage in just 15 seconds, but all the passengers got off safely.

While helping an elderly passenger get off the bus, Liu's face was burned.

Liu, the only person wounded in the incident, suffered moderate burns and mild smoke inhalation and is recovering in hospital.
