Video of stray dogs sitting by dead friend touches netizens

A video showing four dogs gathered around the body of a stray dog that died after being run over was widely shared on social media recently.

The footage was captured on January 19 in Lanzhou, Gansu Province, according to Knews.

The dog died after it was hit by a car on a busy street in Anning District. Then four dogs nearby rushed to its side, standing around its body and reluctant to leave, despite being in the middle of the road.

Chinese netizens were greatly touched by the pure and deep feelings of the animals with someone commenting, "I feel sorry about this tragedy and just hope all lives in the world can be treated as tenderly."
