Video of policeman helping old man cross street goes viral

A policeman in east China helped an old man cross a busy street, winning the hearts of Chinese netizens, Knews reported.

The auxiliary police officer, Wu Jin, found an old man moving slowly in the middle of a road in Hanshan County, Anhui Province, when he was directing traffic recently.

He soon ran to the man, held his hand tightly and helped him cross the road.

A driver captured the moving scene and later posted it online — the video unexpectedly went viral.

Chinese netizens praised Wu for his kind actions while the humble man talked it down. "I believe every policeman on duty would do the same," he said.
