Footage of a driver using watermelon to put out his engine fire in China’s Zhejiang Province on August 1 has gone viral.
He was driving on an expressway at the time and heard a “strange” noise, so he pulled over to discover his engine was in flames.
The man didn’t have a fire extinguisher at hand, so he grabbed a watermelon and smashed it over the fire, which was put out immediately.
“Who knew fruit was healthy and could save your car!” one netizen joked.
