CDP Group, an innovative leader in human capital management (HCM) services, officially launched WorkLife, a mobile app powered by CDP’s EcoSaaS (EcoSystem as a Service) platform, to offer users consumer-grade access to dealing with their work and life tasks anytime, anywhere.

In the face of the recent coronavirus outbreak, some Chinese companies are turning to remote work, which requires effective management and specialized sets of tools. This recent change has urged employers and employees to reconsider ways to improve workplace productivity and experience via digitalized and scalable processes.

The WorkLife app aims to address the aforemented needs by bringing together all necessary and value-add employee experiences into an integrated, single sign-on portal where employees can complete their tasks. It integrates and simplifies a variety of key functions, such as payslip revision and breakdown, automating business travel planning and booking, leave of absence, e-rewards and recognition, expense management and employee training.

By making typical workplace processes easy, both HR and employees can now focus more of their time on actual tasks, strategic contributions to business, as well as both personal and corporate growth. In addition, having a consumer-grade experience means that employees can not only complete daily work tasks on the portal, but address certain personal needs in the same sign-on as well, such as purchasing household goods on the WorkLife Marketplace with e-reward points earned on the portal.

As more millennials and Gen Z individuals enter the workforce, employers need to create environments that support both generations’ work styles and preferences. WorkLife addresses such concerns by providing many personalized functions, including employee sentiment tracking and automatic clock-in/out, as well as gateways to benefits, insurance, online marketplace, etc.

App users can respond to business messages, express gratitude to coworkers and apply for a leave of absence simply with only a few taps on their screen. Services like grocery shopping, children’s education and online medical consultations are integrated into WorkLife to cover the personal needs of employees and their families.

With a powerful data system at its core, WorkLife has redefined the scope of managing human capital, further exploring possibilities for HCM customization and flexibility. For instance, the app recently features a carpooling function to not only help employees mitigate coronavirus infection risk, but also decrease transportation budget and promote green living. It only takes 10 minutes for any HR administrator with minimum training to launch this function on their company’s WorkLife portal.

Founded in 2004, CDP Group is a leading HCM platform that provides integrated and effective SaaS-enabled solutions for MNCs and local champions in China. As of September 30, 2019, the company had served approximately one million user accounts for more than 3,600 enterprises across 35 industries, including pharma & medical, manufacturing, retail, consumer products, technology/internet, logistics, and professional services.
