'My Country and I' flash mob rocks North Bund

Artists, television show hosts and student dancers, joined by pedestrians waving national flags, staged a flash mob of the classic song "My Country and I" at the North Bund in Hongkou District recently.
Performers included pingtan (storytelling to music) artist Gao Bowen, TV host Cao Kefan, fencer Ye Chong, national model worker Yin Renjun and fans of Chinese Super League football club Shanghai Greenland Shenhua.
A national flag was also depicted on the LED screen of the White Magnolia Plaza at the North Bund, the tallest building in Puxi, along with the song.
A flash mob is a group of people who assemble suddenly in a public place and perform for a brief time. It was first created in 2003 in Manhattan, New York City.
