Jinshan releases tourism logo at farmers' exhibit
Farmers' paintings go on show at the City Beach in Jinshan District.
An exhibition of farmers' paintings opened at City Beach in Jinshan District on Friday, with 150 painting works collected nationwide.
The exhibition will run through October 27.
The beautiful pictures record the modernization of China's villages on the occasion of the 70-year anniversary of the People's Republic of China.
The Jinshan farmer painting is a powerful, unsophisticated style which conveys passion for rural life and has become a name card of Shanghai. It draws inspiration from the lives in Jiangnan (regions to the south of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River ) water towns. Exhibitions of Jinshan farmer paintings have been held overseas.
A logo for Jinshan's culture and tourism was released at the exhibition, featuring farmer painting and the three islands of Jinshan in golden, green and blue.
Jinshan is home to the Jinshanzui Fishing Village, the city's only remaining fishing village, the City Beach, Longxia countryside park, Fengjing Water Town and Donglin Temple.
The paintings provide an ideal backdrop for memorable photos.
