Active turnover ratio in Chinese mainland declined along with the slowdown of economic growth, according to a report by CIIC HR Management Consulting Co.

According to the report, the active turnover ratio of employees in companies was 9.9 percent in the first half of this year, down from 11.2 percent in the same period last year. Last year, the ratio was 17 percent, 0.4 percentage points lower than the previous year.

Zhou Jing, vice general manager of the company, said employees tended to be more cautious in job-hopping when economic growth slowed down by uncertainties.

Meanwhile, the passive turnover ratio rose by 0.6 percentage points to 2.6 percent in the first half of this year from the same period last year. It was 5.3 percent in last year and 3 percent in 2017.
