Managers of a tourist spot in southwest China’s Chongqing Municipality apologized to the public on Sunday after a video of a pig being forced to make bungee jump went viral online on Saturday, cctv.com reported.
A pig weighing 75kg was pushed from a 68-meter platform to promote the opening of the recreational project at the destination in the city’s Fuling District, the report said.
As the video showed, the pig screamed throughout the process.
A majority of netizens expressed disapproval of the promotion as sand accused organizers of animal cruelty.
