Lithuania has seized a 600-kilogramme (1,322-pound) cocaine shipment from Ecuador, in one of the largest drug busts in the EU state's history, the authorities said Wednesday.

Customs officials at the Baltic port of Klaipeda said they found the cocaine hidden in a shipment of fake casting moulds for plastic lids, addressed to a company in Lithuania set up by a Russia citizen.

The date of the bust was not given.

The drugs have an estimated street value of 49 million euros ($58 million), officials added.

The shipment came in a container from Ecuador via Colombia and the German port of Hamburg.?

It contained 576 packages of cocaine, each weighting around a kilo (2.2 pounds).

Lithuania said it had worked with French and German officials during the investigation. No arrests have been made so far.
