Man, horse fall running red light

A man and his horse fell as they rode through a red light at speed in Xinxiang, Henan Province.

Video posted online showed the horse and rider both falling after one of the horse’s legs seemingly hit the rear of a car at an intersection in the incident on November 17.

Passers-by saw the accident and called the ambulance, which took the injured man to hospital.

After viewing surveillance video, police said the incident happened when the horse attempted to make a sharp turn to the right after seeing the car but accidentally fell. It didn't collide with the car, police added. 

Police added the man’s behavior was illegal as horses are not allowed in the downtown area and he also ran a red light.
