A netizen claimed on December 4 that zebra crossings can be seen haphazardly painted all over some roads in Changzhou City of Jiangsu Province.
As photos posted by the netizen show, five sets of zebra crossing have been painted at a crossroad while seven or eight zebra stripes can be found on a 300-meter stretch of road.
Authorities from the village committee said it was a mistake but that the extra lines have yet to be removed. They have already contacted a company to fix the problem.
The local traffic department will also go to the village to offer technical advice.
