A traffic policeman from Yichang city in Hubei Province helped hold telecommunication cables that had fallen down amid heavy rain using a wooden stick on July 28, thepaper.cn reported.
As a video shot by a witness showed, the policeman held the cables in the rain with a wooden stick in order to allow traffic to continue to flow.
Drivers passing by appreciated the policeman's actions, but some netizens pointed out that what he did was quite dangerous as wet wooden sticks may be able to conduct electricity.
