Off duty policeman catches fugitive

A policeman from Zhenjiang in east China's Jiangsu Province caught a fugitive while off duty on October 20, thepaper.cn reported.

Sun Yong found that a man near a bus stop looked familiar when he was driving on his way to visit elderly people living alone. He recalled that the man was someone he dealt with 10 years ago.

Sun confirmed that the man was surnamed Ma, and that he was a fugitive who was listed online by police in another region in the first half of this year. Ma was on suspicion of forced prostitution.

Sun parked his car immediately and arrested Ma after identifying himself. Sun’s colleagues brought Ma back to the police station.

Ma has been transferred to police authorities.
