Car plate price exceeds 93,000 yuan again in November

Shanghai's car plate auction for November concluded this morning, with 226,911 people signing up for the auction of 11,002 car plates, making success rate standing at 4.8 percent.

The average winning price for a car plate stood at 93,130 yuan (US$14,058) this month, down 410 yuan compared with 93,540 yuan last month. This is the second time that average price exceeds 93,000 yuan this year.

The lowest bidding price for November was 93,100 yuan, down 400 yuan from 93,500 a month earlier.

The success rate of 4.8 percent this month is 0.15 percent higher compared with the rate of last month. Up to 244,868 people bid in last month's Shanghai auction for car plates and 4.65 percent of participants emerged victorious.
