China stocks closed mixed on Wednesday

Chinese shares closed mixed on Wednesday with the benchmark Shanghai Composite Index fractionally lower and the Shenzhen Component Index up.

At the close of market hours, the Shanghai Composite Index finished lower 0.2 percent at 2,931.69 points, the Shenzhen Component Index added 0.2 percent to end at 9,302.00 points, and the blue chip CSI300 index shed 0.06percent to close at 3,804.64 points.

Turnover on the two major bourses totaled 381.6 billion yuan (US$55.41 billion), expanding form 350 billion yuan in the previous trading season.

The agriculture, forestry, animal husbandry and fisheries and digital components led the gains, while liquor and medicals suffered losses.

The top gainers in the Shanghai Index were Irico Display Devices Co Ltd, up 10.06 percent, Wanxiang Deonong Co Ltd, adding 10.00 percent and Jiangsu Huifeng Agrochemical Co Ltd, gaining 10.18 percent.

The largest percentage losers in the Shanghai index were Anhui Golden Seed Winery Co Ltd, down 10 percent, followed by Hangzhou Tianmushan Pharmaceutical Co Ltd, losing 9.5 percent.
