Police in east China's Shandong Province Tuesday destroyed more than 206 tonnes of drugs and drug-related materials seized over the past four years.

The drugs and materials were destroyed in the city of Zibo as part of a provincial anti-drug campaign, according to the Shandong police bureau.

The province has stepped up its fight against drug-related crime in recent years. In 2017 alone, 27 drug dens have been raided and more than 44 tonnes of drugs and drug-related materials seized.

Police have also offered cash rewards for information on drug production and trafficking.
