Russian box office sensation to be released in China
Russia's highest-grossing film “3 Seconds” will hit cinemas across China on June 13.
Based on the events surrounding the basketball final at the 1972 Munich Olympic Games, the film shows how the Soviet Union team won gold by beating the United States.
Before the final, the US team was thought to be invincible and the coach who led the Soviet Union team was a virtual unknown.
When the film was released in Russia in 2017, it made a record 3 billion Russian rubles (US$46 million) at the box office.
The film also received wide acclaim from audience and critics for its touching and inspiring story of faith, teamwork and patriotism.
