Hong Kong actor Simon Yam was stabbed in his abdomen during a commercial event in Zhongshan, Guangdong Province, on Saturday, police said.
A man was apprehended at the scene after he walked up to the stage and stabbed Yam around 10:17am.
Yam suffered injuries to his abdomen and finger. His condition is not life-threatening, police said.
The case is under further investigation.
Security guards subdue the man at the scene.
