In an increasingly fierce uphill race of exascale computing worldwide, more Chinese supercomputers are making the world's Top 500 list as seen in its latest edition published at this year's ISC High Performance (ISC), Europe's most important conference and networking event for the high-performance computing community. In 1949 when the People's Republic of China was founded, the Chinese people faced a devastated country that needed to be rebuilt from scratch after decades of warfare and chaos. After decades of unremitting endeavors and dedication by the Chinese people, China has grown to be the world's second largest economy. In 1952, China's GDP was US$30 billion, while in 2018, its GDP reached US$13.61 trillion, an increase of 452.6 times. There were few female full-time drivers at that time. In recent years, the number of female drivers increased gradually thanks to the improvement of transportation in the province.
