Man rides shared bike onto highway

A man in his 20s was trying to get to the airport by riding a shared bike on a highway in Xianyang City, Shaanxi Province, when he was stopped by police.

The policeman, Du Gang, found the man riding a Mobike in the side lane of the highway while on duty at the Liucunbao Toll Station.

Du said it was getting dark when he spotted the cyclist amongst a group of trucks, which had the potential for disaster.

The man told Du his destination was the airport, some ten kilometers from the airport. He was given a warning and told about the dangers instead of receiving a fine.

He was then forced to find more traditional methods to continue on to the airport.
