Startup website gets new funding of US$6 million

Strikingly, a startup which helps clients establish websites, said yesterday it received funding of US$6 million to expand business in China and explore multi-channels such as WeChat.

Strikingly, whose clients include Google, Alibaba and Uber, received the investment from a fund under the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Y Combinator and Sinnovation Ventures founded by Lee Kaifu.

Strikingly’s Chinese version Shangxianle which means Get Online, allows enterprises and individual users to establish a website within 10 minutes. It has local partners including Alibaba’s cloud division.

With the investment, the firm has developed a tool to manage key functions on WeChat, which has over 900 million users in China.
