Internet summit to open in Wuzhen

The Sixth World Internet Conference, an annual top-level industry summit and exhibition, will open on Sunday in Wuzhen, Zhejiang Province. This year's topics will include artificial intelligence, 5G, cybersecurity and the industrial Internet.

The summit, organized by the Cyberspace Administration of China and the Zhejiang government, will run until Tuesday and cover 20 industrial sub-forums. More than 1,500 guests, including Internet experts, scholars, government officials and technology entrepreneurs will attend.

The theme of this year's event is "Intelligent Interconnection for Openness and Cooperation: Building a Community with a Shared Future in Cyberspace."

The Light of the Internet Exposition, part of the conference, began on Friday, attracting more than 600 enterprises and institutions from 37 countries and regions. The exhibition covers the latest in artificial intelligence, cloud computing, big data, Internet security, industry Internet, e-commerce and smart cities.

Overseas giants including Kaspersky, SAP, eBay, PwC and domestic industry leaders such as Alibaba, Tencent and Huawei will be attending the event.
