More than two-thirds of Apple Inc’s retail stores have reopened on the Chinese mainland as the country gradually resumes production and economy activity.

In total, 31 of 42 Apple stores had reopened by Wednesday, said the consumer tech titan, which didn’t mention opening dates or plans for its still-closed locations.

At least some reopened store have changed their opening hours. The Apple store in the Pudong New Area's Lujiazui now closes at 6:30pm, compared with 10pm previously.

Apple’s online store remains open as usual.

Apple temporarily closed its retail stores in China earlier this month in consideration of the coronavirus outbreak.

In the latest quarter, Apple China’s revenue reached US$13.6 billion, up 3.1 percent year on year.
