Charm of island nations on display

As part of the 2018 Shanghai Tourism Festival, the Oceanic Island Nations Cultural Event will greet visitors on September 18-24. It aims to promote cultural exchanges between China and other countries, improve the international image of Jing’an District and promote the upcoming China International Import Expo. 

With strong support from the Embassy of Micronesia in China, the Consulate General of New Zealand in Shanghai, the Consulate General of the Republic of Fiji in Shanghai and the Shanghai Tourism Bureau, the event will use a large variety of videos to showcase the natural ecosystem and culture of the island countries.

The beautiful scenery, enchanting singing and dancing, delicious cuisine and cultural ambience of the islands will all be displayed. 

Come and experience the untouched nature, discover some of the world’s most beautiful lands and learn about the rich and colorful tourist sites.

The unique tropical customs displayed at the event will provide visitors a general picture of the charm of these islands and give enthusiastic travelers a better understanding of these bright pearls in the vast blue ocean.
