Uniqlo unveils upcoming clothing releases for fall and winter seasons
This month, Uniqlo unveiled its upcoming new fashion apparel for the fall and winter seasons. The presentation included 10 different collections, all to be released in the third quarter, ranging from new interpretations of their Lifewear line, as well as collaborations with designer Ines de la Fressange.
The brand's new idea is for customers to choose new clothes in accordance with scenes in their daily lives. On the top floor of its largest global flagship store on Huaihai Road, four main scenes are displayed – Freedom of Movement, Curated City Living, Rest & Recharge, and Need for Nature – each one complete with the new collections. They aim to create a new shopping method.
There are some new updates in the basic clothing items. One highlight is the new ultra light down jacket, featuring diamond quilting made using the thinnest and softest fabric in the history of the brand. Instead of the conventional set-in sleeve, this jacket uses a 3D cut from the shoulder to the armhole. This increases the range of motion of the wearer's arms for more convenient active use.
It's the first time the Uniqlo U collection has released a fall and winter series of kids' wear, including 12 "mini-me" items identical to the adult versions. Also, its latest collaboration collection was created in tandem with lifestyle icon and symbol of French chic culture Ines de la Fressange. The season's inspiration was the Swiss village of Rossinière, beloved by artists for its beautiful mountain scenery. From a base of beige moss-green earth tones, the numerous items offer a range of styles such as cashmere blend knit ponchos and 3D knit dresses with attractive silhouette profiles. Small items such as berets and reusable shopping bags in a wide variety of patterns are also included.
