No new COVID-19 cases reported in the city

No new imported cases of novel coronavirus were reported in the city on Monday, while 37 suspected imported cases are still undergoing test, said the Shanghai Health Commission on Tuesday morning.

Meanwhile, 12 imported cases — seven from the UK, two from the US, one from Russia, one from Spain and one from Mexico — were discharged from hospital upon recovery on Monday. One patient who had been in serious condition was cured by local medical team.

So far, of all the 279 imported cases, 130 have been discharged upon recovery and 149 are hospitalized, including one in critical condition.

No new locally transmitted cases or suspected cases were reported on Monday.

Among the 339 local cases, 328 have been discharged upon recovery and four are hospitalized, one are seriously sick and one in critical condition. There have been so far seven local fatalities.

No asymptomatic infection cases are undergoing medical observation right now, the health commission said.
