Man watches TV show throughout famous pop icon's concert

Tickets to Taiwanese pop icon Jay Chou's concert in central China were hard to come by, but one audience member wanted to do nothing but watch his favorite TV show.

While most of the audience were immersed in Jay Chou's popular songs at a recent concert in Changsha, Hunan Province, one man was filmed focusing intently on a TV series on his mobile phone, Knews reported.

A netizen posted a video on Weibo on May 14 in which the man can be seen sitting while watching the TV series.

The excited screams and singing of fans around him did nothing to pull the man from his own world.

The woman who filmed the video, who was seated behind the man, said tickets to Chou's concert were extremely popular. It finally cost her about 1,400 yuan (US$220) to buy a ticket which had an original price of 780 yuan.

Even when the concert came to an end, the man, who appears to have been dragged along by his girlfriend, was still focusing on the TV series.

After the video went viral online, many web users joked that such an expensive ticket was wasted just watching TV.
