Starbucks Bar Mixato shakes up Shanghai coffee, nightlife scene
Six months after opening, Starbucks Reserve Cafe & Bar Mixato at Yifengyuan is already a hit. On the menu are over 20 distinctive coffee and tea-based mixology beverages.
Starbucks is seeing positive feedback after over half a year of the launch of its first Reserve Cafe & Bar Mixato at Yifengyuan near the Bund, and the company is planning to open more stores in Shanghai that offer an exquisite fusion of coffee and cocktail art.
The newly-renovated Starbucks outlet at the Shimao Festival City on Nanjing Road which opened in early December is a latest testament to Starbucks confidence in the local consumer market.
“Nanjing Road is a landmark attraction in Shanghai and is like a postcard for the city which brings together not only consumers from here in the city and other domestic cities but also from all over the world. The Starbucks Reserve Cafe & Bar Mixato brings together the craftsmanship of specialty coffee and the artistry of cocktail concoctions, to offer a novel nighttime experience that will enthrall coffee lovers and bar-goers alike,” said Lexi Xue, the store manager of Starbucks Reserve Cafe & Bar Mixato Shimao Festival City store.
Starbucks Reserve Cafe & Bar Mixato Shanghai Hopson One Store in the Wujiaochang Area in Yangpu District will also open in early 2020.

Starbucks' Yifengyuan branch has extended business hours from 7am to 2am to suit consumer tastes for light food, snacks and drinks that are only available at Starbucks Reserve Cafe & Bar Mixato.
Shanghai has recently encouraged the night-time economy and is seeking to boost leisure spending after normal business hours to cater to various consumer demands.
