Fifth iDEALShanghai Awards winners announced

THE fifth iDEALShanghai Awards announced a total of 81 winners in 26 categories during a ceremony held at the Shanghai Grand Theatre on the evening of November 24.

The winners were selected based on 218,600 votes cast by Shanghai Daily readers and users on the newspaper’s official new website shine.cn for two weeks.

The winners’ list features readers' favorite luxury, business, and designer hotels, serviced villas and apartments, gourmet landmarks, as well as the year’s best fashion landmarks.

This year, the winners’ categories were also expanded to include hotels from cities outside Shanghai, including Hangzhou, Sanya, Suzhou, Wuhan, Chengdu, Xiamen, Ningbo, and Nanjing.

Shanghai Daily launched the iDEALShanghai Awards in 2012 with the goal of honoring businesses and venues that have close relationships with the city and its people. Winners are determined by voting results from local residents and readers of the newspaper and website.
