After a short break from the heat, the mercury has started to soar again and it is set to hit 34 degrees Celsius on Tuesday.
It will remain higher than 30 degrees on Wednesday.
Hot yes, but thunderstorms may arrive on Tuesday, and residents are warned to be braced for possible ozone air pollution. Wednesday will be wet all day.
From Thursday, the mercury will take a dive, dropping to 27 degrees on Thursday, as a subtropical high moves south.
Around 29 degrees is forecast for Friday and Saturday.
