A group of 30 scholars from 29 countries and regions "graduated" from the Visiting Program for Young Sinologists yesterday.

The program, organized by the Shanghai Academy of Social Sciences and the China International Culture Exchange Center under the support of China’s Ministry of Culture, aims to deepen understanding of young sinologists towards Chinese culture and modern society.

Some of the participants were students of Chinese culture, politics and economy while others studied in Chinese universities.

Participants have spent a month in Shanghai and nearby areas to learn more about the country, actively interacting with local academicians and reporters.
