Jing'an honors innovative companies

One hundred enterprises were recently awarded by the government of Jing'an District for their outstanding contribution in promoting innovation and employment in the district.

One hundred enterprises were recently awarded by the government of Jing’an District for their outstanding contribution in promoting innovation and employment in the district.

They included Shanghai Vancouver Film School, which has produced 300 professionals in film production with an international model delivered in English by highly acclaimed North American teachers.

"The program helps students to acquire practical skills with the highest standards in the world," said Liu Haibo of SHVFS. "After finishing training here, they can join either local or global film production teams without language or technical barriers."

The school enrolls 100 students a year, with plans to double the number by the end of the year.

Last year, 4,721 new enterprises registered in Jing’an. In total, the districts created 48,350 new jobs last year, 16,629 of which were created by start-ups.
