Four more coronavirus patients discharged

So far, Shanghai has reported nine recovered patients. The latest group released from hospital includes two Wuhan residents, one from Shanghai and one from Zhejiang.

Four more coronavirus-related pneumonia patients were discharged from hospital upon recovery in Shanghai on Friday, the city’s health commission announced.

So far, Shanghai has reported nine recovered patients.

The newly discharged patients include a man surnamed Wu, 44, from Zhejiang Province, and a Shanghai man surnamed Ai, 52. They both recently traveled to Hubei Province and visited a hospital with fever. They were diagnosed with infection of the coronavirus on January 23 and 24 respectively.

Also discharged were a 20-year-old man surnamed Qi and a 66-year-old woman surnamed Ai. Both are residents of Hubei Province. They also visited a hospital after developing fever and were diagnosed with coronavirus infection on January 24 and 25 respectively.

They were all hospitalized at Shanghai Public Health Clinical Center for treatment and recovered quickly under medical care.

Before release, their temperatures had been normal for over three days and their respiratory tract symptoms had greatly improved. They each had also undergone two tests for the virus and all results proved negative.
