Elderly man gives Bentley owner scallions as compensation for collision
The Jinan traffic police department shared a heart-warming story on its official Weibo account on September 25, about an elderly man who gave a Bentley owner a handful of scallions as compensation after the tricycle he was riding accidentally bumped into the expensive car.
The elderly man apologized profusely and explained he is physically disabled and his legs are "not good" after the collision took place. The understanding young Bentley owner forgave him, before suggesting the old man ride slower next time.
However, when the young driver started to leave, the elderly man thought he should still give some form of compensation, so he threw a bag of scallions into the car.
Chinese netizens were greatly touched by the story and applauded the young car owner for his kindness. Someone even joked, "The scallions are luckier than me — I've never sat in a Bentley before!"
