People enjoy the autumn leaves in Jing'an Park on Monday, but things are about to take a cold turn.

This autumn's first alert for a cold snap was released at 5pm on Friday, forecasting a significant temperature fall.

The cold front is set to hit the city around midnight Friday. 

Tomorrow's high won't exceed 12 degrees Celsius and the low will sit around 8 degrees.

The mercury will continue to fall on Sunday, with a low of 6 degrees in downtown areas and just 4 in suburban areas.
