Children with a passion for art can take part in a painting competition, which was launched today by the Shanghai-based Oriental Kid’s Art and Shanghai Special Care Foundation.

The contest opens to all children from 3 to 15 years old in China. Disabled and autistic children are also warmly welcomed.

This year’s contest is under the theme of “Beautiful China.” Child artists are encouraged to show the tremendous changes of China, as well as of their own families.

They can also submit audio clips to share their inspirations and stories behind the paintings. Outstanding works will be put on display in Shanghai in August.
