A man who was caught transporting 4 kilograms of drugs has been arrested, Qingpu District prosecutors said.

The suspect, identified as Ding Bin, was ordered by another person to transport the drugs from Chengdu, capital of southwest China’s Sichuan Province, to Shanghai.

Prosecutors said he was aware that he was transporting drugs.

On February 5, he paid 15,000 yuan (US$2,387) to rent a car and hid the drugs in the spare tire and drove to Shanghai. In wee hours of February 8, he was stopped by Shanghai police at a toll gate on the Shanghai-Chongqing Expressway.
