A tourism project "Experience England" targeting Chinese travelers was launched in Shanghai by London, Manchester and Birmingham and online travel operator Qunar.com on Friday to provide in-depth and immersive itineraries to tourists.

The new tailored routes include popular destinations, landmarks and cultural attractions in Britain, allowing travelers to savor its authentic lifestyle.

These include in-depth visit to Stratford-Upon-Avon, known as the birth place of Shakespeare, a tour to the Manchester United football club and a shopping tour to London's West End. Chinese language services are offered at these spots.

They allow travelers to experience the glamour of metropolises as well as the picturesque landscape of lake areas in Britain, officials said.

China is expected to become the fastest growing market of overseas tourists to London with an estimated increase of over 100 percent by 2025, according to London&Partners.
