The fleet of the 350 new-energy taxis.
The 350 new-energy taxis operated by the four major taxi companies, Qiangsheng, Dazhong, Haibo and Jinjiang, hit the road on October 6, start of the 30-day countdown to the opening of the import expo.
The colourful taxis are equipped with various new technologies to make trip safer and more comfortable. Surveillance cameras and recorders monitor the trip and the passengers can pay by scanning a QR code.
All drivers have an unblemished record of zero accidents or complaints. They must pass a facial recognition test before starting to pick up passengers.
