Party Secretary Li meets HK chamber of commerce chief

Li Qiang, Party secretary of Shanghai, met Dr. Jonathan Choi Koon-shum, chairman of the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, Hong Kong, yesterday.

Shanghai and Hong Kong have broad areas of cooperation, and the integrated development of the Yangtze Delta Region provides a broader area for deepening cooperation between the two areas, Li said during the meeting.

Shanghai welcomes more investment from enterprises in Hong Kong, and the city will continue to improve its business environment and provide high-quality and efficient service for all kinds of enterprises, Li added.

The Chinese General Chamber of Commerce, Hong Kong will seize the major opportunities in Shanghai and make more contribution towards deepening cooperation between Hong Kong and Shanghai in all areas, Choi said.

City leaders Zheng Gangmiao and Zhuge Yujie also attended the meeting.
